Why Dogtown?Dogtown was the nickname given to the Pacific Ocean Park (POP) area during the seventies and later on the name referred to most of Santa Monica/Venice. The area bred a whole generation of extreme skaters (Z-Boys), surfers, artists (The Doors) and our brokerage is located within the historical Zephyr building, where it all began.The neighborhoods of Venice and Santa Monica continue to develop today, yet they retain the beauty, diversity, pluralism and artistic value from prior generations. Because of this, today, more than ever, Venice and Santa Monica have become a real estate Mecca where people want to live, work and play and that is why Dogtown Realty exists.Dogtown Realty, Inc. was the inspiration of Assaf Raz. Jeff F. Konecke joined the inspired concept in the early 2000's. It is built from the same elements that make the connection between generations.
