Salish Grounds is a Native American Woman Owned Coffee Company that is operating on Squaxin Island Native American Trust Land in Kamelchi, Washington. My sister Aleta Poste, and myself are both Squaxin Island Tribal Members that are a small startup. We conceptualized the idea at the end of 2017 with a vision to build a coffee company that uses the profits of the business to better indigenous communities with monetary support to education, health and culture. This vision was built from a need to help supplement the much needed resources that are not readily available to our Tribal community.
