We provide consulting services to all size firms, but our nitch clients are Government Contractors under 500 employees. Regardless of your accounting software we have the ability to help you. We have developed reports that provide all the indirect reporting and job cost analysis required to provide your management team with the financial data needed to manage the company. The contractors we support all have approved accounting systems. Many are using QuickBooks to manage their accounting. We have experience with multiple software packages. As long as data can be extracted from your accounting system we can help you. You pay a reasonable monthly fee for our services which is far less than the cost of hiring these individuals as full time employees.



We will begin by assessing your current system, then make sure that it is compliant with FAR Part 31 and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). We then work to enhance the financial reporting you receive. You can participate in the design of reports so that they are understandable for you. We also teke the addition step of performing a competitive analysis of your cost accounting design. When you hire us we are there onsite with you during any audit of your accounting system. Since we either design a new system for you, or review your current system for compliance it is our responsibility to support it in an audit.



There are many accounting software programs written specifically for Government Contracting however QuickBooks can be set up to meet the requirements of FAR Part 31, CAS and DCAA for significantly less money. Accounting software that is written specifically for Government Contracting like CostPoint or Jamis require you to locate staff that have experience with those particular software packages. The investment you will be required to make is significant, not only for the software, but in time and cost to implement these systems, train existing employees or acquire additional knowledgable staff. The systems they design are not always designed by individuals that are considering the competitive nature of your business. While they properly segregate and allocate cost, they may not design a system that will maximize any competitive advantages your firm my have.
